Why I love teaching online

But let’s talk about you first.

These notes are from John who operates the ‘Art Bundles for Good’ I regularly contribute to.

Why take Online Art Classes?

Studying art online has many benefits of over in-person workshops and classes. While it is great to meet other students and the teacher in person, that is not always practical with our busy lives. Doing more art should be the objective of all artists, and internet delivered art classes offer many advantages.

Online Courses are Generally Less Expensive

Since internet-based art courses can be offered to many more people than in-person workshops the cost is much lower. You get much of the same instruction, but often at a fraction of the price. A university art education can cost tens of thousands of dollars. That money can buy a lot of online art classes.

Learn from the Best Artists

Online art classes allow you to study from your favorite and most talented artists where ever they may be located. Without online classes, most of these artists wouldn’t be accessible.

Diversity of Art Instructors

Different artists have different perspectives, techniques and ideas about art and creativity. Learning from a variety of art teachers will allow you to benefit from all of their experiences.

Studying Art at Home is More Convenient

Studying art in your own home means you don’t need to travel to art studios, universities or other locations. That means more time to spend on your art and less cost for you.

Your Own Home is More Comfortable

Creating art in your own art studio, with your own art supplies feels better and is likely to be much more creative and inspirational. It’s also nice to have your coffee maker and fridge nearby.

Study at Your Own Pace

Online videos allow you to pause, rewind, play in slow motion and watch again any time you want. This really is an amazing opportunity to really hone in on the skills the artist is teaching. This technology was barely available even a decade ago.

Online Art Classes are Better

While in-person workshops and formal art education can be very valuable, taking art classes on your computer in the comfort of your own home is a great way to improve your art skills. No matter your skill level, there is always something to learn from different art instructors.

A note from me

And I like them because I really think I can teach better online! I can teach DETAIL that I wasn’t able to do in group classes. AND I don’t have to worry about not having a supply with me. Or having enough to go round! I can concentrate on teaching.

Have a go!
